Unleash the Spirit of the 2024 Idaho Sled Dog Challenge
at the Ceremonial Start!

The Ceremonial Start will be conducted at the Activity Barn, just south of McCall, date to be determined. The Ceremonial Start is our opportunity to share the excitement of sled dog racing and ‘Unleash the Spirit’ of the Idaho Sled Dog Challenge! Many miss out on this excitement since the start of the races and the races themselves are conducted during the workweek. However, the Ceremonial Start affords us all to see what the Sled Dog Challenge is all about – to talk to the mushers in a relaxed setting, to see the dogs begin to get excited when they are hooked up to their harnesses and, best of all, to watch the musher and dogs, working as a team, fly out of the chute! We hope that you will join our team, our local dignitaries, the mushers, and most of all, the dogs, and share in this wonderful experience we call the Ceremonial Start.
