When and how did you get started mushing? My first word was dog, and we joke that it was always supposed to go this way. When I was four years old I watched the cartoon movie Balto, and told my mom I was going to run sled dogs. It took a lot of pestering, but when I was twelve I got to go see sled dogs in action at a race, and it was over from there!

What have been your mushing highlights? The Canadian Challenge race in -40 moving through the lakes and portages at night and into the dawn was such a beautiful and surreal experience.
